Cookie Policy
Update 31. 1. 2026
Cookie policy of the Stavario application (Vím o všem sro)
version 1.1
What are cookies and why are they used?
Cookies are small text files that a website or application sends to your web browser and stores on your device (e.g. computer or mobile phone) when you visit. Cookies can help recognize your device on each subsequent visit and remember, for example, your settings and preferences. This allows the website or application to function more smoothly, make it easier for you to use and generally adapt the content to your needs. Cookies are also commonly used for statistical purposes - they allow us to analyze traffic and application usage, as well as for marketing purposes, such as displaying personalized advertising. Within the framework of this policy, the term cookies also includes similar technologies used to store information or identify the user (e.g. pixel tags, web beacons or local browser storage).
Types of cookies
Necessary cookies – These cookies are necessary to ensure the basic operation and functionality of the application. For example, they enable user login, navigation, loading of basic functions
and secure use of the website. Without necessary cookies, our application would not be able to function properly and are therefore always allowed. These cookies do not require user consent and cannot be
switched off in our systems (however, you can block them in your browser, but with the risk of limiting the functionality of the website and the Stavario online application).
Functional cookies . These cookies provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They allow our application to remember your choices and preferences, such as language settings, content layout, or other user convenience. Functional cookies allow us to offer you personalized content and a more convenient use of the application. If you do not allow these cookies, some
or all of these services may not function properly.
Analytical cookies . Cookies of this type help us understand how visitors use our application. They collect anonymized information about traffic and user behavior (e.g. which pages are visited most often, how long users stay on certain pages, etc.). Based on this data, we can measure the performance of the application, create statistics and improve content
and functionality. We evaluate the data obtained using analytical cookies in an aggregated form that does not allow for individual identification. If you do not allow analytical cookies (e.g. by turning them off in the settings or browser), we lose the ability to evaluate the performance and optimize our application.
Advertising cookies . So-called marketing or advertising cookies are used to offer you content and advertising tailored to your interests. These cookies can track your visits and activities across different websites and applications and, based on this, display targeted advertisements, or limit the number of times you see the same advertisement. They also allow you to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns - for example, to see whether you have taken a certain action based on an advertisement. If you do not allow these cookies, you will not be shown targeted advertising based on your interests, but you may still be shown less relevant advertisements.
Security cookies . Cookies that are designed to prevent fraud and ensure the security of the application, for example by detecting unauthorized activities or fixing security errors. These cookies help to authenticate users (e.g. when logging in), prevent misuse of login sessions and protect your data when using the application. Security cookies help
to protect our services and users and are usually considered essential cookies (they cannot be deactivated without completely restricting basic functions).
Third-party cookies
In addition to the cookies that we, as the operator of the Stavario application, set (so-called first-party cookies), we also use third-party cookies. These cookies are set by external services that are integrated into our application and allow these third parties to obtain certain information about your visit. Specifically, we use the following types of third-party services:
- Analytical and performance tools. We use Google Analytics to analyze traffic and application performance. Through this service, Google sets its own cookies that collect information about user interactions. Thanks to them, we obtain statistics about the use of our application (e.g. number of users, length of visits, sources of traffic) without personally identifying individuals.
- Marketing and advertising tools. We may use Facebook Pixel from Meta Platforms (Facebook) in our application for marketing purposes. This technology allows us to track how users respond to our advertising campaigns (e.g. whether they registered or took another action in the application after viewing an ad) and, if necessary, to display our targeted advertisements to users on Meta platforms. For this, Facebook stores third-party cookies on your device.
- User experience tools. We use Hotjar to improve the user interface and understand user behavior. Hotjar helps us analyze how users navigate the application (e.g. which elements they click, how they scroll through the page) so that we can optimize user-friendliness. Hotjar may store third-party cookies that record data about your visit (e.g. when you first visited the application, whether you have already been included in certain samples, etc.). All data is used to improve the application and user experience.
These third parties may use their cookies to collect and evaluate information for their own purposes in accordance with their policies. The data collected by these cookies is directly transmitted to the respective providers (e.g. Google, Meta or Hotjar) and we only obtain aggregated outputs from them or use them within the scope of the services provided (e.g. in analytical reports). We do not have direct control over these third-party cookies. For information on how these third parties handle your data, we recommend that you read their privacy and cookie policies - links are provided in the section below .
Cookie retention period
Cookies can be stored on your device for varying lengths of time, depending on their type and purpose. Session (temporary) cookies are valid only for the duration of your visit and are usually deleted from your device after you close your browser or log out of the application. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device even after the session ends – they have a set validity period, after which they are automatically deactivated. The retention period of persistent cookies varies depending on their purpose: for example, some functional preferences may be stored for several days or weeks, while analytical
and advertising cookies may be valid for several months to two years (typically, e.g. the main Google Analytics _ga cookie expires in 2 years, Google Ads advertising cookies usually in 13 months
within the EU). The specific processing periods set for individual cookies are designed to be appropriate for the purpose of their use and meet the requirements of applicable legal regulations. You can also manually delete all cookies from your browser at any time (or via your device settings), effectively terminating their validity before reaching natural expiration.
Cookie management options
You have several options to manage the storage of cookies according to your preferences. When you first visited our website, you were informed via the so-called cookie bar and had the opportunity to express your consent to the use of individual categories of optional cookies. You can adjust your settings at any time - either again via our cookie bar (if the "Cookie Settings" link or button is available in the application), or using the settings of your web browser.
Browser settings. Most modern web browsers allow you to manage cookies at the browser level. You can block cookies (prohibit their storage), allow only certain types, or delete already stored cookies. The specific procedure varies depending on the browser - you can find information
in your browser's help. For example, we provide links to instructions for the most commonly used browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, etc. If you use multiple devices or browsers, you need to adjust the settings on each of them separately. You can also use the Private/Anonymous window (Incognito) mode, in which cookies are usually automatically deleted after closing the window. If you use this mode, the use and functionality of the Stavario online application may be limited.
Please note that if you disable some or all cookies, this may affect the functionality of our application. For example, without enabling essential cookies, you will not be able to log in or use all the services offered, if you disable preference cookies, the website will not adapt to you, and if you refuse analytical cookies, we may not be able to properly evaluate the performance of the application. Essential cookies cannot be deactivated through our website (they are always active to ensure the operation of the services), but you can block them in your browser - this will limit the basic functions of the website and the Stavario online application.
Legal basis for processing cookies
We process personal data obtained from cookies in accordance with applicable legal regulations, in particular the GDPR and related Czech and Polish legislation. We do not need your prior consent to use so-called necessary (technical and security) cookies, because these cookies are necessary for us to be able to provide you with our service and ensure its functioning. Therefore, the processing of necessary cookies is based on our legitimate interest or directly on the basis of the law that allows such use (because without these cookies we would not be able to ensure the safe and proper functioning of the application).
On the other hand, we process analytical, functional and advertising cookies only on the basis of your consent. This means that we only store and read these cookies if you have given us active consent (e.g. by setting preferences in the cookie bar or by other unambiguous confirmation). The legal basis here is the consent of the data subject pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time - the procedure is described in the following chapter. However, withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal.
All personal data obtained from cookies is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy . For more information about the handling of personal data and your rights (e.g. right of access, deletion, etc.), please see this separate document.
Changing settings and withdrawing consent
Changing your cookie settings. If you wish to change your original cookie settings, you can do so at any time. In the settings, adjust the cookie selection according to your current preferences (you can additionally allow previously rejected cookies or, conversely, disable previously allowed cookie categories). Your new choices will be applied immediately and the relevant cookies will either be set or deleted.
Withdrawal of consent: If you have previously given us your consent to use certain cookies, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. The easiest way to withdraw your consent is to delete the cookies from your browser and not continue to use them. After deleting the cookies, the cookie bar will appear again on your next visit, where you can confirm or modify your selection. You can also withdraw your consent by contacting us using the contact details below. Withdrawal of consent is effective upon receipt of your notification and verification of your identity. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal. Please note that after withdrawal of consent, we will no longer process the corresponding cookies, which may lead to restrictions on some of the functions or services of our application.
Data transfer to third countries
When using cookies, some data collected about users
and recipients may be transferred to third countries, i.e. outside the European Union and the European Economic Area. In particular, the services mentioned above (e.g. Google or Meta) may process your data on servers located in the United States of America (USA) or other countries that do not guarantee an adequate level of personal data protection from the point of view of EU legislation. The USA is
currently considered a country that does not ensure the same level of personal data protection as the EU. Therefore, if your data is transferred to the USA, there are certain risks, such as the possibility of government authorities there accessing this data as part of surveillance programs, and you as a data subject may not have effective legal protection as in the EU.
We assure you that all international transfers of personal data are carried out exclusively in accordance
with applicable data protection laws. Where necessary, we use standard contractual clauses or other appropriate legal mechanisms for the transfer of data to third countries, which ensure an adequate level of protection for the processing.
By using optional cookies (by giving your consent), you acknowledge that your data may also be processed in third countries by the companies listed above and below. Our company remains the controller of your personal data and is responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguards for such transfers. However, we cannot influence all data processing by external providers - we therefore recommend that you also familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of these third parties for complete information.
