Stavario helps IMOS Brno with the construction of new IKEM pavilions
The universal construction company IMOS Brno is currently working on the completion of the new pavilions G1 and G2 for the Prague Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM). These are to increase capacity for patients who need highly specialized treatment, for example organ transplantation. For the construction, which will last 2 and a half years, IMOS Brno chose an online construction diary from Stavario, which speeds up their daily records and helps with the organization of work.
The impetus for digitization was an amendment to the law
The construction manager for the IKEM project, Pavel Mynařík, had to introduce an online construction diary based on Act no. 403/2020 Sb. The amendment states that for public construction contracts in the above-limit regime, builders must use an electronic construction diary.
He began to look for suitable software and learned from a colleague that the construction company LIKO-S uses an online construction log from Stavario, which he praises. "A colleague arranged a meeting for me with the construction manager from LIKO-Su, who showed me Stavario in action. Stavario seemed to me to be the simplest and most effective solution - it looked fast and clear." explains Pavel Mynařík.
Subsequently, they had a presentation made by our salesman at IMOS Brno and soon they were working hard in Stavario. "The start of construction was approaching, so we had to quickly jump into the online construction log. Fortunately, it was enough to click through Stavario and it was immediately clear to us how it works. And where I didn't know how to do it myself, super instructions and willing support on the phone helped.“ recalls Pavel Mynařík.

We sign diary entries directly in the application
Pavel Mynařík highlights the electronic signing of the diary directly in Stavario as one of the great advantages of Stavario. "It was one of the main reasons why we finally decided on Stavario. Being able to sign the records by scratching them directly in the app saves me a lot of time and makes sure that everything is legal. With other systems we considered, it was more complicated."
In addition, they will spend much less time managing the electronic diary. Part of the data is filled in automatically by Stavario, and part is completed by the construction manager with a few clicks: "I like that the online diary automatically downloads weather data from the nearest weather station or that I can insert all the people who were on the construction site with one click."
"The fact that, unlike a paper diary, I can write entries in all ten also saves me time. Or if, for example, we do the same work for a month, I copy the records from the previous days. Just no unnecessary listing,” explains Pavel Mynařík.
Photos can be uploaded to Stavaria from a mobile phone directly on the construction site.
Clear organization of work and faster communication with the investor
Thanks to Stavario, IMOS Brno can more easily involve other subcontractors in the construction. "I don't have to research who is currently working on what, but I just look in Stavario and see." They communicate with subcontractors and their own builders using Requirements and use them to distribute tasks. Everyone can see what they have to do at the moment and they don't have to make appointments in person, over the phone or carry tasks in their heads.
"There are currently 25 of us working on the IKEM project in Stavario, of which 8 are my fellow construction managers and the rest are subcontractors. We have created user roles for everyone, which determine what they can do in the diary and what information they have access to. For example, subcontractors can only upload records and photos." explains Pavel Mynařík.
Through Stavario, IMOS Brno also communicates with the project's investors - for example, it asks them for a meeting or electronically approves major interventions on the construction site. He then prints out the agreed steps from Stavario to be sure and saves them as a document.
Digitization has caught up with us and we are glad for it
The online construction diary was introduced at IMOS Brno due to a legal obligation, but Pavel Mynařík evaluates this big change positively: "The world is accelerating and digitization is catching up with us. It is clear that if construction companies want to work efficiently in the future, they will not be able to do without an online construction diary. The upgrade of administration and work organization benefited us greatly."
